by Rebecca Macatee Thu., Oct. 31, 2013 7:26 PM PDT Loading... BIG PICTURES/BAUER-GRIFFIN.COM Kate Middleton is a real-life princess (well, technically a duchess), but once upon a time this London lady was a witchthanks to the magic of Halloween! On another Halloween of yesteryear, an adorably fresh-faced Lindsay Lohan dressed up as Princess Jasmineand not in the trying-to-be-provocative way. John Stamos , on the kim kardashian and ray other hand, tweeted a throwback Halloween costume from the early '80s, admitting, "Not sure what i was dressed up as- a slutty??"
Source:

Sources reportedly tell the British publication that the Duchess of Cambridge has been receiving fashion advice from an old friend: Interior designer Emilia Jardine-Paterson. Emilia was chosen to be one of Prince Gorge's godparents (there are seven total ) and also has been lending her keen style eye to the royals by assisting in decorating Kensington Palace. While the BFFs have been fixing up the Duke and Duchess's new home, Emilia has been trying to influencing the new mom's famous style. PHOTOS: Inside Kensington Palace "[Emilia] is trying to move Kate away from the Middleton neutral palate and push her towards colour or pattern," a source told the magazine. "Emilia loves vintage and tries to get Kate to be a bit more quirky." So far, it looks like her advice hasn't had too much of an impact.
Source:

According to a palace insider, the duchess regularly kept a tab on the antique decor items at the Royal Collection, furniture offerings and upholstery during her pregnancy. The 31-year-old Kate is said to have done so through browsing photos of the decor on her phone. "Their home is beautiful. This is a very reggie bush and kim kardashian exciting time for them," the insider told the Us Weekly. The 57-room apartment of William, Kate and George now has central air, wi-fi connectivity, three kitchens, his and hers washrooms, and two nurseries for Prince George one for daytime and the other for the night.
Source:

Among the amenities at KP? Central air, encrypted WiFi capabilities, his and hers bathrooms, three kitchens and a panic room. "Kensington Palace is safe and contained, and such a welcoming environment. You feel like you have freedom there," a former resident says. PHOTOS: The royal family tree To dress up her digs, Middleton -- who kept many of the home's original details including crown moldings -- used a subtle color palette of beiges, creams and earth tones, and worked with her mother Carole's designer, Anne Allen, to perfect all details. With the royal accessory collection at her disposal, Middleton selected two 19th century Corinthian lamps for their entrance hall, and an ornate Persian rug worth $50,000. Always a savvy budget shopper, Middleton was mindful to cut costs during the renovation, nabbing two faux-fur, 6 1/2-foot throws for $129 from the Peter Jones department store to help soften their living spaces.
Source:

Emilia loves vintage and tries to get Kate to be a bit more quirky. Kate opts for Teal Jenny Packham dress for red carpet event (WENN) The girls have been friends since their days at Marlborough College and according to the source Emilia even had an opinion on Kate's look back then. When they were at school she used to tease Kate about her prim Jigsaw shirts and hated those fur gilets Kate wore, an insider revealed. It's not just style that Kate's friend is said to be helping her out with, according to the report she also advised the Duchess when it came to decorating her 1 million refurbishment of Apartment 1A at Kensington Palace, which has taken over a year to complete. Emilia has kept to the same ethos when advising Kate on interior decor. Kate wanted it all muted beiges and neutrals, but Emilia has encouraged more colour, the source went on. The interior desginer joined Kate, William and their son Prince George at the Chapel Royal, Kensington Palace last month for the christening of Prince George.
Source:

Kates life has been in an ongoing state of transition ever since marrying Prince William back in April of 2011. She went from commoner to royal and then had to slowly but surely find her way in surviving all of those royal engagements. Right about the time that we all started praising Kate as a respectable class act she was spending her days keeled over the royal toilet bowl with debilitating morning sickness. While Kates body has bounced back super fast she has still had a rough time adjusting to parenthood, thanks in part to all of those hormones. We told you awhile ago that the Duchess was rumored to be suffering from post postpartum depression and thankfully the worst seems to have passed.
Source:
